Having worked pro-bono with Missing Children Europe for the past few years I’ve come to understand the different phenomena of missing children. What I’ve learnt to appreciate is how in many cases the issues simply aren’t clear cut; that behind every case of missing children there is often a complex background and history to understand and unravel. This need to give more attention to these vulnerable and overlooked groups gave me the idea to shoot these three true stories of missing children literally out-of-focus.

Losing Myself is an artistic interpretation, shot on a medium format camera, of the 3 most common, yet over-looked phenomena of missing children - unaccompanied migrant children, teenage runaways and parental abduction.
